Informed Delivery is a free service from USPS that shows you preview images of incoming mail, as well as status updates about your incoming and outbound packages. You can see those notifications in a morning Daily Digest email, or at any time via the dashboard from your phone, computer, or the USPS Mobile® app. Informed Delivery also has other features that make tracking and receiving your packages easier and more convenient.
To register for Informed Delivery, USPS needs to verify your identity to ensure your security and privacy. If you can't verify your identity online, you can go to a USPS® location that offers Identity Verification Services. See the Informed Delivery FAQ for more information.
Credit scoring can be complex and takes into account a number of factors that could impact your overall creditworthiness. Your credit score includes the positive and negative factors affecting your credit. It gives you insight into what you are doing well and offers guidelines on how to improve your credit. With a free credit score from Experian, you can track your credit score progress over time and receive customized alerts when changes occur.
Under federal law you are entitled to a copy of your credit report annually from all three credit reporting agencies - Experian, Equifax® and TransUnion® - once every 12 months. To get your Experian annual credit report online, and by phone or mail, visit www.AnnualCreditReport.com.
Some businesses offer Social Security name changes or cards for a fee. Social Security provides those services and more for free. Social Security is the best place to get information about Social Security.
If you lost your card, you may not need a replacement. In most cases, simply knowing your SSN is enough. But if you do need a replacement, we make it easy. Once you complete your application (online or in person), you will receive your Social Security card in the mail.
Contact the CRA directly to try to resolve the issue. The CRA should tell you the reason they denied your request and explain what to do next. Often, you will only need to provide information that was missing or incorrect on your application for a free credit report.
Your free annual credit report does not include your credit score, but you can get your credit score from several sources. Your credit card company may give it to you for free. You can also buy it from one of the three major credit reporting agencies. When you receive your score, you often get information on how you can improve it.
Placing a credit freeze allows you to restrict access to your credit report. This is important after a data breach or identity theft when someone could use your personal information to apply for new credit accounts. Most creditors look at your credit report before opening a new account. But if you've frozen your credit report, creditors can't access it, and probably won't approve fraudulent applications.
Your credit freeze will go into effect the next business day if you place it online or by phone. If you place the freeze by postal mail, it will be in effect three business days after the credit agency receives your request. A credit freeze does not expire. Unless you lift the credit freeze, it stays in effect.
If you want lenders and other companies to be able to access your credit files again, you will need to lift your credit freeze permanently or temporarily. Contact each credit reporting agency. You'll use a PIN or password to lift your credit freeze. You can lift your credit freeze as often as you need to, without penalties.
Anyone who denies you credit, housing, insurance, or a job because of a credit report must give you the name, address, and telephone number of the credit reporting agency (CRA) that provided the report. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to request a free report within 60 days if a company denies you credit based on the report.
Active Status also has different settings on the desktop browser version of Facebook and the Facebook app. On the browser version, you can edit your Active Status settings to allow only specific people to see you online.
However, it's unclear whether these settings will apply if you use the Facebook app to log into the social media site. So if you really don't want certain people to see you online, we recommend switching off your Active Status on the app (which we will show you later in this tutorial).
If you choose to Turn off Active Status for only some contacts, select the people or lists you don't want to see you online. For example, you may want to add your restricted list here, as well as lists such as business contacts or people you have on your friends list just because you didn't want to offend them by rejecting their friend request.
If you're worried about Facebook not turning off Active Status for all your sessions and really don't want someone specific to see you online, a surefire way to prevent this is to block them from messaging you.
Here's how it works: We gather information about your online activities, such as the searches you conduct on our Sites and the pages you visit. This information may be used to deliver advertising on our Sites and offline (for example, by phone, email and direct mail) that's customized to meet specific interests you may have.
If you prefer that we do not use this information, you may opt out of online behavioral advertising. If you opt out, though, you may still receive generic advertising. In addition, financial advisors/Client Managers may continue to use information collected online to provide product and service information in accordance with account agreements.
Also, if you opt out of online behavioral advertising, you may still see ads when you log in to your account, for example through Online Banking or MyMerrill. These ads are based on your specific account relationships with us.
Please read the qualifying criteria for each Free File software provider carefully. Free software may be limited to basic returns and may not be available for self-employment income, capital gains or losses, or rental income. If you are not eligible for a free filing option for the software provider you choose, the software provider may charge you a fee.
You can send your scores for free to one recipient every year that you take AP Exams. To use your free score send, sign in to My AP, go to My AP Profile, select the Score Send tab and choose the college, university, or scholarship organization that you want to receive your score report. Make sure to take advantage of your 2022 free score send before the June 20 deadline.
After scores are released, sign in to our AP student score reporting portal using your College Board login information. Your account contains your full AP score send order history, whether the request was made in My AP; via mail, fax, or online; or through a customer service representative. Your past score send orders will be listed by college or university, and by order date. You can find details such as delivery status and included scores here.
If you notice that exams that you took last year or earlier (up to four years ago) are missing, it might be because you have multiple accounts. To resolve a multiple account issue, contact AP Services for Students via our online form, or call 888-225-5427 (toll free in the United States and Canada) or 212-632-1780. Please note that during score release in July, AP Services for Students will have longer than usual response times.
If your most recent AP Exam was over four years ago, your AP scores are no longer viewable from our online score reporting system. They have been archived and can only be sent to a college, university or scholarship program through a request made via mail or fax.
Scores can be canceled at any time, but for scores not to be sent to the college or university indicated online through the free score send in My AP, AP Services for Students must receive your request by June 15 of the year you took the AP Exam.
For scores to be withheld from the college or university indicated online through the free score send in My AP, AP Services for Students must receive your request and payment by June 15 of the year you took the AP Exam.
Your cancellation request will be processed within 15 business days of receipt. Please allow for delays, especially if you are mailing from overseas. Once processed, you will see the cancellation reflected on your online AP score report.
Recent military service and medical records are not online. However, most veterans and their next of kin can obtain free copies of their DD Form 214 (Report of Separation) and the following military service records any of the ways listed below.
Some companies advertise DD Form 214 research services and will charge a fee for obtaining copies. This is provided as a free service by the National Archives and Records Administration.
Records are accessioned into the National Archives, and become archival, 62 years after the service member's separation from the military. This is a rolling date, the current year minus 62 years. See more information on records older than 62 years. Archival records are open to the public and can be ordered online for a copying fee. See Access to Military Records by the General Public for more details.
You can mail or fax your signed and dated request to the National Archives' National Personnel Record Center (NPRC). Be sure to use the address specified (either in the instructions on the SF-180 or in our online system, eVetRecs). Most, but not all records, are stored at the NPRC. NOTE: If you send messages using WebTV or a free-email service, you will not receive our response if your mailbox is full. Messages sent to full mailboxes are returned to us as "undeliverable."
