The simplest way to prevent these blocks would be to have the website blocker disabled while using uTorrent. To disable it, simply right-click on the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware tray icon and uncheck Website Blocking. Once you are done with your downloads, you can re-engage the website blocker by right-clicking the Malwarebytes tray icon again and and click on Website Blocking again so that it is now checked.
I have the same problem. I choose to keep utorrent active most of the time. Is there no other work-around to this problem besides completely disabling Wesbite Blocking? I purchased Malwarebytes PRO but am getting really annoyed by the constant prompts.
I am using a windows 7 Pro PC. Yesterday, the day after the malwarebytes PRO version trial began and the first time using the program in question I got 3 pop-up messages saying Website Blocked Due To Trojan. That scared me, so I did not use that website the rest of the evening. I have spent most of today running 2 Anti-Malware programs and my Anti-Virus program on Deep Scan. All came back with NOTHING FOUND. I have a suspicion that the malwarebytes PRO version trial could possibly be buggy as I have NEVER had any kind of pop-up of this type from malwarebytes ever (I use free version, normally except when this this comes about)
My actual question is this .... The program in question is used for uploading and downloading torrent files (from a pay site) I need to know if the files I recently downloaded are likely corrupt and should I delete them? Also, the program itself, should I remove it and download a fresh version?
I think this is good news, right? My PC is not harmed and going to crash .... I did look up the IP addresses out of curiosity. They were from Hong Kong, Johannesburg, South Africa and Bucharest, Hungary. That was a little scary. My concern as I said is that I do not want to be passing on any virus from the files I downloaded. This afternoon I did open the uTorrent program and left it open for about an hour. I did not download anything new, though. There were no new pop-ups saying Website Blocked Due To Trojan. So, the downloaded files are OK, not corrupt? Tomorrow, maybe I will try a new download and watch for a pop-up (Hopefully, NO pop-up)
There is no antivirus or security product that can keep your computer 100% safe so that it can never be infected. You yourself have to practice safe computing as well. If you're using uTorrent for downloading files such as open source software it is much safer than downloading games, music, videos, etc which can easily come bundled with malware that may or may not be detected.
I do appreciate your concern. I hope to continue using uTorrent as it was recommended to me and the app/program has worked well for me. I have always been cautious when using uTorrent as I understand it can potentially be dangerous. I am a fairly infrequent user of it. I have a routine I always follow with regard to the downloaded data files. In order to not lose the data files in the event of a severe crash I almost immediately save a copy to an external hard drive, convert them for device use and make a copy of that data file on 2 different portable external hard drives. I also do not keep the data files on my PC for very long, I delete them and clear out uTorrents.
Furthermore, Malwarebytes also deal with infected or fake websites as it protects your download files out of hacking attempts as well as contaminated advertisements. Some people often complain about the lengthy scans which prevent them from using their computer. The manufacturer understands this concern, so they equipped the hyper scan mode with a specific feature. You can run other tasks while you are scanning. And this mode still brings quick and efficient scans.
The Malwarebytes Premium 2023 Torrent download also protects you from and stops known and unknown ransomware and shields your files and documents. Furthermore, this anti-malware software hides your identity while you are surfing on the internet, so that no hackers, scammer detects, and get your very personal data using very cheap tricks. This software is very powerful in that it includes four layers of securities in your browser and software programs to protect you and your system from vulnerabilities.
Also, it contains a very fast scanning process of your whole system. You can also run a scan in the background and simultaneously download a video or file online. Malwarebytes 5.0.3 Cracked 2023 contains Lightning Fast Hyper Scan mode that only searches and targets only current threats. This program also detects and cleans the phishing scam that is very dangerous and can steal your identity, banking information.
This software has the capacity to detect and remove malware and virus in real-time. For real-time scanning, detecting, and removing it includes anti-rootkit technology, advanced anti-malware, and anti-spyware. So, the Malwarebytes crack 2023 free download is a very reliable tool to block all types of scammers, hackers, viruses, fake websites, and malware websites threats. You can also test its 14-days trial period first to analyze its protection performance. And you can access premium features by downloading the crack from this site.
Real-time protection monitors your computer in real-time and if you attempt open a malicious program or file, Malwarebytes will block it and automatically quarantine the file. This protects your from running infections that are disguised as free downloads or malicious attachments.
During my testing, it detected 95% of the malware files I had previously downloaded to my device, which is a pretty good result. In terms of real-time protection, it successfully blocked 98% of the malware files, which is excellent.
When testing the scanner against malware samples, I got decent results. Before installing Malwarebytes on my Windows device, I downloaded around 1,000 malicious files (viruses, trojans, spyware, etc) to my test PC. Once Malwarebytes completed the Threat Scan, it found around 76% of the files. But the full disk scan detected 95% of malware (although it took about 3 hours, which is pretty long for a full disk scan). While this is a good score, competitors like Norton or Bitdefender, have a perfect 100% malware detection rate.
I just wondered whether anyone has had issues with Malwarebytes Antimalware everytime a torrent starts to download . . . or, whether my problem is unique. It's VERY annoying to see a popup every few seconds from Malwarebytes that looks like this. (see attached screenshot). And, despite my clicking the exclusion button repeatedly, the popups just continue to popup one right after another. A REAL pain in the a**!
This looks like a normal peer connection, not any website. When running a torrent you could have 100 or more, perhaps even 1000 or more peer connections and after having a look on malwarebytes website they have many users of various torrent clients complaining about the same thing. Their official answer is that the IPs being blocked are from hostile websites but I don't think this is the case. I had a look at the IP in that screenshot you posted and I can't see that there is any webhosting on it at all, perhaps the last user who leased that IP was doing something malicious on it, but I think it's more likely that their database is just wrong.
Any pieces of data you get from an IP that they feel may be hostile will be hash checked by your bittorrent client (Bitcomet in your case, but this is true with any client). If the piece of data has changed in any way it will be rejected... it has to be identical to the original on a byte for byte basis. No malware can slip in this way* it's just not possible.
*if the torrents original author included malware in a torrent download, then that is another issue, but if the original material is clean, then the files you download will also be clean even if one or more peers attempt to slip in some malware.
My favorite is ExpressVPN because it effectively hides your IP address, encrypts your data, and prevents bandwidth throttling on a torrent client. On top of that, it has world-class security features and fast speeds. The best part is you can test ExpressVPN out yourself completely risk-free because it's backed by a money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with it, you have 30 days to claim a full refund.
uTorrent was developed by BitTorrent in 2005 and is the most widely-used torrent client. Its app is lightweight and uses a simple and organized interface, making it great for beginners and advanced users. When I downloaded and installed it on my MacBook, it only took me about 30 seconds, and I could download torrents straight away.
But what I liked most about it is its wide range of customization options. I could schedule downloads to prioritize files, set bandwidth limits, verify seeds, manage the client remotely, and find torrents with its built-in search engine. Also, I was able to install third-party plug-ins and stream torrents while they were being downloaded, thanks to its media player.
Its range of features is impressive. Most notably, it comes with a built-in bandwidth booster that lets you set limits on upload and download speeds. This means you can download torrents faster. Other features include being able to schedule torrents, stream torrents, support magnet links, and remotely manage paired devices. 2b1af7f3a8
